Upcoming Event for wine lovers :-)

The fabulous Up the Creek Music Festival is coming up again soon, taking place on the weekend of the 4th to 6th February 2011, on the river close to Swellendam. Last year, there were some good bands, great pseudo lillos on the river, and lots of interesting, friendly people.

Cost ranges depending on the accommodation you want to book for the weekend and also when you want to go (you can even go on the evening of the 3rd or just join for the Saturday and Sunday) so have a look at the website www.upthecreek.co.za . You can either bring your own tent or have one pitched for you at an additional cost of course. Your ticket covers a spot on the camping site, access to good music and sometimes gorgeous musicians, and a relaxed weekend sitting in the river soaking up the music and the atmosphere.

We wanted to get a group of people from the wine club to go this year as it is such fun. There will not be any wineries there though...so it is not strictly a wine only event...:-) . Dare I say it, there is life beyond wine though...
