Souternmost forest in Africa !

Want to be moved, or could you be due for a soul fulfilling experience? You might even be a birder or botanist. Maybe you just like forests. The truth is that it doesn't really matter, because you will leave this place of mystery and beauty feeling relaxed and inspired!

Platbos indigenous forest is just what is needed to rejuvenate, with the unique composition of plants in this afro-montane forest you will find yourself meandering between White Stinkwoods, the slow growing and characterful Milkwoods, Pock Ironwoods but to name a few, while being chorused by the forest sounds of birds and insects as you make your way along the pathway.

Through visiting you don't just do your good deed to yourself for the day, but you also help the environment. Proceeds of the entrance fee (R50 per adult, R20 per child) goes towards the maintenance of the pathways and firebreaks for better preservation of this jewel. You may also join the Trees for Tomorrow Reforestation project and help expand and rehabilitate this unique forest by buying a tree.

The little bit you do now can have big effects later on :-)
