Airport Shuttle!

Hi All

Great news for anyone in Cape Town or planning to visit!
The MyCiti Cape Town bus is back up and running!
For just R50 you can get from the airport to the City Centre and its just a hop on the train and your right by Riverlodge.

If you look at the handy illustration to the right you can see that the bus is running most of the time. As it leaves every 20 minutes it is also pretty efficient and speedy!

Hooray!

Call the toll free number 0800 656463 if you need times for the shuttle or Cape Town trains

We had a great time at Riverlodge. The competition at Long Street was too much for us so we found this place a little out of town. It is right next to a train station, so it only takes 10 minutes to get right into the centre of town. The place is quiet, with very pretty gardens and cosy rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and dropped us off at the ariport free of charge at the end of our stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a calmer Cape Town experience.

Letter of recommendation

Hi PJ

It's the Evans family. We all got back to the UK safely and now back at work :-( We just wanted to say a big thank you and that we really enjoyed our stay at the Riverlodge. It was perfect for us - clean, tidy and quiet with fantastic service. Once again, thank you for helping us plan our trip down the garden route - it really made a difference to our trip to have the benefit of your local knowledge. In case you have forgotten us already - I attach a photo from our BBQ.

Kind regards

The Evans Family

p.s you are welcome to put this email on your website and I have written a review on trip advisor

Simons Town, Kalk Bay excursion

Riverlodge Backpackers Want to know anything about Cape Town, require prices for accommodation, vehicle hire, tour packages or off the beaten track adventures let us know.

http://www.riverlodge.co.za

Petrus or PJ as everyone knows him, has been in the tourism trade since1987, and has traveled the country extensively, and started in the diving industry organizing dive tour packages ranging from 2/3 days to extensive 15/20 day excursions and what is now one of the biggest money spinners in the industry.........Cage diving with Great White Sharks. So whether you are looking for an adrenalin rush or just the quieter side of things, we are able to do it all for you.
For example we have a fun one day excursion starting from Cape Town central railway station and travel on the renowned picturesque rail route to Simons Town Waterfront, where we canoe out to Boulders to see the penguins, stop off at Sea Forth to have a swim and snorkel around the shallows , then back to Simons Town Waterfront to enjoy some drinks while we wait for our transport to Kalk Bay via Water Taxi.
The water Taxi hugs the coastline along Glencairn, Fish hoek, Clovelly and then into the bustling Kalk Bay harbour. During August to December it's whale time and then we visit the whales in the bay.
Here we disembark and explore at leisure this quaint village with it's bustling variety of eclectic shops, restaurants, pubs, art galleries and boutiques.
All of this for only R750.00 per person.
Spend the day or catch the train back to Cape Town Central.
This is one of many such tours that we organize.
Call us and we will arrange your holiday package here in the Cape Town. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy.

So whether you want an adrenalin filled day or an quiet hide away we can do it for you.

Happy and safe travels

PJ
